Sardinian Supper Club – Sat 9th June 2012 SOLD OUT

Born out of out of village ‘socials’ of the past, the ‘paladares’ of Cuba and New York Supper Clubs, my Secret Squisito supper club provides an antidote to lacklustre restaurant food. You won’t find Secret Squisito in any restaurant guide since it is my contribution to the ‘underground’ or ‘guerilla’ food movement. Secret Squisito is an anti-restaurant!

Secret Squisito is not just about food, it is about ‘good’ food and ‘conviviality’ – meeting new people and sharing our experiences at the table – something you can only get at home. Unlike normal restaurants diners sit down with us and other ‘foodies’ to experience my home cooking and local ingredients prepared by me fresh on the day.

At Secret Squisito there is no ‘sous vide’ but my Rayburn and pizza oven, there’s ‘no food service’ suppliers or artificial anything (because I am a bona fide farmers market producer as www.squisito-deli.co.uk) and my ingredients are grown here in Monks Kirby or bartered at Farmers Market that morning. In short, I make ‘real’ food with a modern Italian twist. Like any Italian dinner party my food is all homemade and you dine in my home.

There is a wine list – my husband Alex reviews locally avialable Italian supermarket or independent wines every month and gives his wine pairings – for you to bring your own wine so there is no disappointment from not-even-good £2.99 wine marked up to £29.99! Secret Squisito is an “anti-restaurant” in every sense.

Like any memorable experience, Secret Squisito is about the occasion and the ingredients – you are part of it and bring your contribution to the table.

‘Thanks for a brilliant meal at your Supper Club”, Ms Marmite, May 2011

You can also reserve fresh bread, Italian sausages, homemade ham, crespelle, Lamborghini’s and what we have at market that day. Just ask to go on my weekly customer email to find out what is new every week and get a free recipe or news about what’s on in the Midlands.
