Wonderful food, friends and wine at September’s Secret Squisito on Saturday


with only a few hitches – pheasants not quite ready and tina’s carrots nibbled by rabbits – the evening went off really well and the star of the show was the risotto on the primi course – aged carnaroli rice with prosecco stock, enriched with grana padano cheese and butter and then roasted peach puree drizzled on top with a sprinkling of pancetta lardons – gorgeous! sally’s melons were also a hit – very ripe and juicy and the perfect partner to our parma ham. we sang happy birthday to nick – 21 again and salem the cat endeared himself to everyone! the last guest departed at 3.30AM and the night was over until the next time on Saturday 9th October. Thanks to Ella and Issy for helping wash up too.
